Building Confident humans, one cheerleader at a time

At OKC Vortex Cheer, we believe leadership isn’t just for captains - it’s something every athlete can grow into.

Our Leadership Program is woven into every practice, giving athletes the opportunity to develop confidence, self-awareness, and strong character alongside their cheer skills.

Through guided discussions, reflection, and real-life application, our athletes don’t just learn how to perform, they learn how to lead.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE…

Each week, athletes participate in a short leadership circle where we focus on one core value.

This includes:

  • Team discussions (age-appropriate & engaging)

  • Real-life scenarios (friendship, school, confidence, emotions)

  • Journaling/reflection time

  • Encouragement & support

Each pillar has a brief description underneath.

Leadership patch program

Athletes earn leadership patches in bronze, silver, and gold as they grow through the pillars.

Each patch represents a value they’ve practiced, demonstrated, and reflected on.

Patches can be displayed on warm-up sleeves, backpacks, etc.
